About Us

We are a mother and daughter team who broke away from our everyday corporate jobs to do what we love, knitting and crochet!

We opened Yarn + Co. in 2013 with the hope of creating a yarn store with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We offer an exciting range of unique yarns and accessories, sourced both locally and internationally. 

However, after eight wonderful years in our Fitzroy store, we made the difficult decision to move. Unfortunately, with the Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to secure a new space. So for the time being, we will continue to be available by phone, email, social media and through our online store. 
Despite 2020 being so challenging for us all, it has also been a time for reflection and change. And with our change we hope to bring a better and more tailored local yarn store.

Thank you again for all your love and support. 2020 has made us even more thankful for each and everyone of our customers and our community as a whole. Here's to a new chapter in our little business; we are looking forward to what 2021 and the future holds.
